Objectives
Candidates will be made aware of the properties of asbestos, where it has been used in buildings and when it may present a risk to you. This will help candidates to protect themselves from the risk of exposure to airborne asbestos fibres and show the delegates how to comply with the health and safety rules of the asbestos legislation.
Who Should Attend
This course should be attended by any personal that are likely to damage the fabric of a building that was built before 2000. The course can also be suitable for any persons that have asbestos containing materials within their property or workplace, this will ensure that care is taken and asbestos is taken into consideration when carrying out activities around areas likely to contain asbestos.
What is difference with the eLearning version?
It is considered that a full 3-hour classroom asbestos awareness course is taken when taking asbestos awareness for the first time, as a 3 hour course provides more time to go over more content and detailed information. Our classroom courses are trained by one of our experienced trainers and highly qualified asbestos consultants so delegates will be able to speak face to face and gain specific advice or ask any questions that delegates may have.

Outcome/Qualification
Upon Successful completion delegates will receive a certificate of attendance, which should be annually refreshed.
